Dr. Miller was honored in 1999 when he was named in "The Guide to Top Doctors" by the Center for the Study of Services - Consumer's Checkbook Ralph J. Miller, Jr. M.D. F.A.C.S received his medical degree with cum laude honors from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1984, where he was also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He served his Surgical and Urologic residencies as well as a Chief Resident year at the University Health Center of Pittsburgh. Dr. Miller joined the Triangle Urologic Group in 1990. Dr. Miller is certified by The American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is Assistant Professor of Surgery, Division of Urology, at the MCP-Hahnemann School of Medicine. Dr. Miller is active in his profession as well as in the community. He serves as Director of the Allegheny Prostate Center at the Allegheny Cancer Center, and sits on the Executive Committee of the Medical Staff as well as on the Continuing Medical Education and Bylaws Committees at Allegheny General Hospital. Dr. Miller was co-founder and is medical sponsor of the Allegheny Chapter of the USToo International prostate cancer support group. He has been the event chair for numerous fundraising activities for prostate cancer education and research including "The Shoot Out for Prostate Cancer" and "The Father's Day Ride n' Stride" events. Dr. Miller is a frequent lecturer both locally and nationally on numerous medical topics, and has been the program coordinator for dozens of continuing medical education seminars both in Pittsburgh and around the country. Dr. Miller has authored and co-authored numerous journal articles, book chapters, and patient education publications. Dr. Millers professional interests include prostate cancer, bladder cancer, vasectomy reversal, and continuing medical education.
